At the end of 2012 we surveyed contractors about educational needs. For years we have provided a series of classes in the off-season on a variety of topics. This past winter we held over 71 of our regular classes and taught a host of industry association or college programs too.
We have always believed that knowledge truly is power and good customers for us are people who either know what they are doing or actively try to learn.
Online Education
But folks have said getting to class is a pain, especially when snow plowing is happening or the guys they want educated are laid off. It was asked that we provide another educational opportunity to meet their need. So, we have launched our online education portal. Education Portal brochure.

The portal is designed to serve our Green Industry customers. Currently, we have many classes on landscape irrigation, lighting, water features, drainage, and industry tools. More classes are being created to complete and meet all your education needs.
Also, we are converting our regular on site classes to work on the portal as well. I hope to have a couple of them up later this year. Currently we have over 35 classes and my goal is to double that by next year.
Of particular excitement for us is our Bidding and Estimating Class designed by industry expert Jim Huston. We also have a sales class that should prove useful. Additional business related classes are in works as this in one area many contractors asked for help.
Signing Up is Easy
Signing up is easy. Click “Sign up for Account” on our webpage, enter basic information, and wait for our approval on your registration. Our office will verify the information and activate your account. You will quickly receive an email telling you when activation is complete.
When a person completes a class there is a short test. If passing the test, the person receives a Certificate of Completion. This may be handy for those needing CEU credits. If you are requiring class completion by folks at your company, the certificates and records document their work.
Obviously being an online service means you can access classes any time day or night from wherever you have internet access.
Membership is one of two ways, single user or multi-user. Multi-user is for unlimited people from the same company. Because each person can have open classes, records of class completion, and personalized certificates, using the multi-user is best when more than one person from a company will be using the system. Single user accounts can be converted to multi-user at any time.
