The Golf Industry Show is a wrap! From February 4-9 many golf industry professionals gathered in Orlando, Florida at the Orange County Convention Center for another successful trade show.
Reports say 13,600 were in attendance with 600 first time attendees. Wolf Creek Company’s golf team members attended the show. Spending a large amount of time at the Rain Bird booth, they kept busy with customers excited about the new software. Rain Bird unveiled their central software upgrade version 8.0 with all new map software.
Also new was their booth design. Rain Bird wanted to stress emphasis on the Total System Solutions and the IC System. They did so with an elaborate booth design. A pump station was set inside a pump house, setting it apart. Two golf greens carpeted the booth, with sprinklers on stands set around the area. When the sprinklers were activated, LED lights turned on.
One event our team attended was the Regency Wire dinner. Regency Wire provided a wonderful evening dinner and a time to meet other distributors across the country. In addition, they also attended the Golf Course Builders Association reception. It was filled with dozens of key contractors, architects and consultants attending. Lastly, the Ohio Room reception was also well attended by all of the associations across our state and a great time to network with each other. In general, these events served as a great networking tool and a place to reconnect with old friends and colleagues.
The Wolf Creek Company team is excited for this season. The recession is finally over. More and more courses are looking to improve their facilities as money seems to be becoming a little more available. Although courses are not swimming in money, Wolf Creek will be able to work with courses to improve and fix old systems with the new technology that Rain Bird has developed. Thankfully, Rain Bird is offering some strong sales programs that will aide our team to meet the needs of each course we work with.
