At Wolf Creek Company we expect nothing less than awesome out of our team members! The Wolf Pack works hard every day to provide contractors with the best products and service possible. We believe relationships are important, that’s why we aren’t really sales people, we’re problem solvers.

One of these problem solvers is Barrett Morton. During the day Barrett serves as Wolf Creek’s Louisville’s assistant manager but at night, he pretty much turns into Ironman. Barrett dips his toe in just about every extracurricular you can think of! I bet you didn’t know he…

  1. goes to the gym four days a week
  2. plays in a basketball league every Monday night
  3. plays in the golf league every Wednesday night and weekends
  4. has his private pilot’s license
  5. owns and drives a race car
  6. rides a sports bike
  7. AND is a regular fisherman

Need I say more? Barrett lives a pretty exciting life! “I have many hobbies, too many to be honest,” he jokingly explains, “I try to stay active in sports.”

Barrett earned his private pilot’s license in high school during which he used to fly often. Although not in the air as often now, he still manages to get in the air every now and then with a friend who is a pilot for UPS. “We usually go up and do some aerobatics,” he says. Barrett has been around aviation all his life and would love to do more flying in the future.

Barrett’s ground hobbies include racing. “I have also been into racing all of my life. I am a big NASCAR fan, watching regularly and attending races when I can,” Barrett explains. Barrett had been helping a friend who raced at a local track, until he finally purchased his own car last year.

Due to moving into his new house, Barrett missed the local front-wheel drive division at Sportsdrome Speedway in Clarksville, IN he planned on attending. However, that didn’t stop him. He was able to get the car on the tracks just a few months ago, however due to motor issues, was not able to finish his first race.

Despite set backs, Barrett raced July 29th, finishing 2nd in his heat, starting him 4th in the feature.

“In the feature, I took the lead on lap 1. From there, I never looked back and won! I was very shocked to win because I really just went to the track to get more experience and learn how to drive the car,” he excitingly explains.

His second race, August 19th was also one for the books! He was able to race against his older brother. Looking forward to next year, there are a couple of figure-8 races that he may enter.

However busy, Barrett puts just as much work into his day job, as his extracurriculars. Barrett has been with Wolf Creek for just over three years in which he has served as the Louisville Branch Assistant Manager. Barrett broke his ankle skiing which forced him into taking time off for disability in his last job; driving a truck for a hardware company. Although unfortunate that the company laid him off due to the injury, WCC is glad they could add Barrett to the team!

“Being new to the industry, I have learned so much about all the products we sell. Wolf Creek’s online classes are a great help. I try my best to stay on top of new products and keep learning everything I can,” Barrett explains.

What is on the Kentucky customer’s minds you ask? Well, other than pricing or stock questions, product questions like the following are common:

  1. How far will a 5000 rotor shoot?
  2. How do I adjust a spray nozzle?
  3. Is the wifi controller easy to use?

These are all great questions, and Barrett has answers. That is why so many contractors choose Wolf Creek Company over our competitors. We are available, knowledgeable and ready to answer your questions and even do hands on training if you need it. We want you to be able to help your customers and make your business more successful. Feel free to come in or call any of our locations with your questions on pricing, stock or products!

For Louisville, among the hot products this year is the wifi controller.

Rain Bird now offers the LNK WiFi Module for Residential and Light Commercial Rain Bird controllers. The New Rain Bird LNK WiFi Module allows easy access and control of a Rain Bird irrigation system from anywhere in the world. With the LNK WiFi Module and Rain Bird’s FREE mobile app, users get access to off-site management, real-time alerts and advanced water management tools via their smart phone or tablet. Visit wifi-pro.rainbird.com to learn more about the LNK WiFi or contact your local WCC location.

Did you know WCC also offers FREE DELIVERY? Louisville prides themselves on serving their customers quickly and efficiently. If there is a delivery to be made, all team members will work on that order to make sure it is out the door as quickly as possible. We do this so you have time and money not coming into the store to pick up your materials. We can deliver to your shop or job site!

Communication is key in making our and your operations run smoothly! To better serve you, the Louisville branch tries to keep up with your jobs so we can better deliver any materials you may need. We do this by asking our customers about jobs coming up, if we have a delivery going out towards their job we will call them to see if there is anything we can drop off. That way, you get what you need, before you need it.

Improvements are always happening at Wolf Creek. Recently the Louisville branch got a few new signs to make it easier for our customers to find us. This winter they branch will also be working on getting a running water feature for contractors to see and play with. Some minor product organization is expected. But most importantly, look forward to the GIE Expo in October and Louisville’s Christmas Party at the end of the year!
