What’s New? Hunter EZ Decoder Diagnostic Tool
Hunter listened to their contractors and made their EZDS system even easier with the EZ Decoder Diagnostic Tool, the EZ-DT. Learn how to use this handy-dandy tool.
EZ-DT: Wireless Diagnostic
This handheld wireless diagnostic tool detects faults and troubleshoots in the field without the need to remove the decoders from the two-wire path. Proprietary electromagnetic induction provides wireless communication between EZ-DT and EZ-1 decoders. You can simply position the EZ-DT over the bottom of the decoder to quickly learn: decoder status, station address, voltage on the two-wire path, and current draw.
EZ-DT: Decoder Programming
You can also use the EZ-DT to program station addresses (station numbers or P/MV) into EZ-1 decoders via a wired connection into EZ-1 decoders. This provides flexible options for programming decoders before installation or reprogramming existing decoders in the field.
The EZ-DT works with Hunter’s EZDS decoder system, which provides a simple and low-cost two-wire for their HCC and ICC2 controllers. EZDS is compatible with Hunter’s Hydrawise and Centralus systems.
